Temlo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Temlo collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Temlo service. Temlo helps businesses manage Instagram engagement and automation through Meta’s Instagram API. By using Temlo, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create a Temlo account, we collect information such as your email address, authentication credentials in protected form, optional display name, and information needed to maintain your account. We do not store your plain-text password.

Workspace and business information

We collect the workspace or business name you provide, workspace membership and role information, configuration choices, and other information you submit while setting up or operating a workspace.

Instagram account information

If you authorize an Instagram account, Temlo may receive information made available through Meta’s Instagram API, such as the Instagram account identifier, username, account or media type, profile information, and the permissions granted to Temlo. The exact information available depends on Meta’s APIs, your account type, and the permissions you approve.

Instagram activity and content

To provide enabled automation features, Temlo may process Instagram media identifiers and metadata, comments and comment text, commenter usernames or scoped identifiers, message or interaction data, webhook events, and the status and results of configured actions. This information can include data relating to people who interact with a connected Instagram account but do not have a Temlo account.

Authentication, session, and technical information

We process authentication tokens, session cookies, timestamps, and related security information needed to keep you signed in and protect access to your account. We may also process basic technical, diagnostic, and usage information such as request details, error information, device or browser characteristics, and IP addresses when needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • create and maintain Temlo accounts and workspaces;
  • authenticate users and enforce workspace access controls;
  • connect authorized Instagram accounts and maintain that connection;
  • receive Instagram webhook events and provide automation features selected by workspace users;
  • deliver configured content and track operational results;
  • provide support and communicate about the service;
  • monitor reliability, diagnose errors, and improve Temlo;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent abuse or security incidents; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Temlo uses Instagram information only as needed to provide and support the features authorized by the connected workspace, subject to Meta’s applicable terms and policies.

3. Meta and Instagram API usage

Temlo accesses Instagram through APIs and webhook services provided by Meta. Connecting an Instagram account authorizes Temlo to request the permissions presented during Meta’s authorization process. Temlo’s access remains subject to Meta’s platform requirements, and your use of Instagram remains governed by Meta’s and Instagram’s own terms and privacy policies.

Meta independently processes information under its own policies. You can review the Meta Privacy Policy.

4. How information is shared

Information may be made available to authorized members of the workspace to which it belongs. We may also disclose information:

  • to service providers that support hosting, databases, authentication, background processing, monitoring, security, and customer support;
  • to Meta when required to use the Instagram API or carry out an authorized Instagram action;
  • when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request;
  • when reasonably necessary to protect Temlo, our users, or others from fraud, abuse, or security threats; or
  • as part of a business reorganization or transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.

Service providers are permitted to process information only for the services they provide to Temlo and subject to their contractual and legal obligations.

5. Data storage and security

Temlo uses third-party infrastructure providers to host the application, database, authentication, monitoring, and related services. Information may be processed in locations where Temlo or its service providers operate.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, tenant isolation, encrypted network transport where supported, and restricted handling of credentials and access tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data retention

We retain account and workspace information for as long as the account or workspace remains active and as needed to provide Temlo. Instagram information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide enabled features, maintain operational records, resolve disputes, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and why it is processed. Backup copies and security records may remain for a limited period after deletion before being overwritten or removed.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required by law.

Workspace administrators may control information processed for their business. If your information was collected because you interacted with a business using Temlo, you may first wish to contact that business. You may also contact Temlo using the address below.

8. Disconnecting Instagram

You may revoke Temlo’s Instagram permissions through the relevant Meta or Instagram account settings. Where a disconnect control is available in Temlo, you may also use that control. Disconnecting stops future API access through that authorization, but does not automatically remove all information already retained for legitimate operational, security, or legal purposes. You may request deletion as described below.

9. Account and data deletion

To request deletion of your Temlo account or associated data, contact us using the privacy email below. Include enough information for us to identify and verify the relevant account or workspace, but do not send your password or Meta access token. We will process verified requests subject to applicable law, the rights of other workspace members, and information we must retain for security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.

10. Children’s privacy

Temlo is a business service and is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly invite children to create Temlo accounts. If you believe a child has provided account information to Temlo, contact us so we can review and address the request.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Temlo changes or as legal and operational requirements evolve. We will post the revised policy here and update the “Last updated” date. Where appropriate, we may provide additional notice through the service or by email.
